Selwyn Feary is principal shareholder of holding company SFx and the founding Director of Shift an award winning web communications company focusing on the Internet.
A background in television production design merged with his interest in computer software to conceptualise many time-based computer graphics for TVNZ. Although its several years since Selwyn left TVNZ they still continue to use the "Fly By" Weather daily and his "virtual debating chamber" to explain the make-up of parliament.
He sits (or has sat) on the advisory boards for the Wanganui Regional Community Polytechnic Faculty of Art and Design, the Massey University Wellington School of Design and for the University of Victoria MComs course.
In addition to trusteeships, Selwyn is a director of several small private companies and is Chairman of the 2004 Hi-Tech awards.
A founding member of the Shift team, Che is a shareholder and director of SFx, and Creative Director of Shift’s Auckland office. He has achieved an international profile as a multimedia and web designer. His role at Shift encompasses creative direction, consulting on interface design, and research into future technologies and standards in web development.
With a solid senior management background in the telecommunications industry (Mitel, Telecom, Alcatel) in New Zealand, Tone joined SFx to pursue several opportunities in this sector. Focussing on strategy, directing and mentoring in the technology area, and on the Internet and its consequences, Tone is currently CEO of the Next Generation Internet organisation which is pushing for access to high speed data transfer capability for its members. Tone has been active in the ICT industry as President of ITANZ and also holds directorships in some start-up companies such as Open Cloud.
